This Decision implements the Marking Tobacco and Tobacco Products Scheme for Designated Excise Goods, defined as all types of cigarettes. Article 1 sets 1 January 2019 as the date Marks can be ordered, 1 May 2019 as the date from which importing unmarked goods is prohibited, and 1 August 2019 for supplying them. Article 2 fixes the fee at AED 0.084 per Mark, payable by the importer or producer before issuance. Article 3 prescribes minimum security requirements for storing Marks. The Decision takes effect on 1 January 2019.
